The shaft is 1.75" diameter and can grip logs from 8" to 32" Logs larger then 16"-18" inches in diameter become increasing difficult to roll safely. It is therefore recommended to keep your log size to under 18 inches. Comes with a durable soft grip for the handle. Aluminum will not break like wood handles do.
